AI Training & Mentoring

Build AI capability inside your team.

The goal is independence, not dependence. Training and mentoring delivered by people who ship AI systems for a living — which means the examples are real, the caveats are honest, and nobody is reading you a vendor deck.

  • Team workshops
  • AI literacy for leadership
  • Embedded enablement
  • 1:1 AI transition roadmaps
  • AI/ML interview preparation

Two tracks

For teams

Workshops, leadership sessions and embedded enablement for organisations that would rather build the capability than keep buying it. Tailored to your systems and your data, not a generic curriculum.

For individuals

A personalised AI transition roadmap, or structured interview preparation, for professionals moving into AI. This is the practice Nextia started with, and it continues unchanged.

Why practitioners teach it better

Over 2,000 professionals have been mentored through this practice — from early-career engineers to C-suite. The difference is that the person teaching is the same person who has to make these systems work on Monday.

What we deliver

Team workshops

Half-day and multi-day sessions for engineering, product and operations teams: LLM application architecture, retrieval, evaluation, prompting that survives contact with users, and where the failure modes hide.

AI literacy for leadership

Sessions for executives and boards that cut through the noise: what the technology can and cannot do, how to read a vendor claim, what governance is actually required, and how to sequence investment.

Embedded enablement

We work alongside your team on a real internal project and teach through it. Far more effective than classroom training, and you end up with a working system as well as the skills.

Personalised AI transition roadmap

A structured 1:1 session for professionals moving into AI: a review of your background and goals, answers to your specific questions, a written roadmap, curated resources, and realistic next steps for your level.

AI/ML interview preparation

Focused preparation for AI, ML and data science interviews — ML fundamentals, ML system design, LLM and RAG architecture discussions, and how to tell the story of your own projects credibly.

AI governance & policy foundations

Practical grounding for organisations that need an internal AI policy: acceptable use, data handling, human oversight, vendor assessment and documentation, aligned with Canadian privacy expectations.

What is included

Individual sessions are delivered online, in English or French. Team training can be remote or on site.

  • 03 A written roadmap document, for 1:1 engagements
  • 04 Curated resources chosen for your background and target role
  • 05 Suggested next steps matched to your experience level
  • 06 Follow-up questions answered after the session

How it works

  1. 01

    Tell us the goal

A short inquiry: who is being trained, what they do now, and what they should be able to do afterwards.

  2. 02

    We shape the session

For teams, we build the material around your systems and use cases. For individuals, we review your background before the session so no time is spent on introductions.

  3. 03

    Deliver

Online or on site, in English or French, with the discussion pointed at your actual situation rather than a slide order.

  4. 04

    Leave something behind

Written material, a roadmap document where relevant, and curated resources — so the value does not evaporate when the call ends.

Questions about training

Is this a course or a bootcamp?

No. It is structured, tailored advisory and training. There is no fixed curriculum you work through, and it is not a resume-writing, recruiting or job-placement service.

What do I get from a 1:1 roadmap session?

A one-hour discussion, answers to your specific AI career and learning questions, a personalised roadmap document, curated resources to focus on, and next steps matched to your target role and experience level.

Do you guarantee outcomes?

No. These services are educational and advisory. Outcomes depend on your background, preparation, target roles and market conditions, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something else.

What does it cost?

A personalised AI transition roadmap is $450 CAD for a 60-minute session, and that includes the written roadmap document, curated resources and next steps — not just the hour. AI interview readiness is $350 CAD for a 90-minute session. Team training is quoted per cohort, because it depends on group size, format and how much of it we build around your own systems.

In which languages, and where?

English or French. Individual sessions are online. Team training can be delivered remotely or on site.

Can training be combined with a project?

Yes, and it is often the best value. Embedded enablement means we build something real with your team and teach through the work, so you finish with both a system and the ability to extend it.

Tell us what is actually broken.

Thirty minutes, no deck, no pitch. You describe the problem; we tell you honestly whether AI is the right tool, roughly what it would take, and whether we are the right people. If we are not, we will say so.

We reply within one business day. English or French.
